With DV-HDV Capture Tool you ,can capture your DV or HDV videostreams via firewire to your computers harddrive

The best software for capturing DV tape — or more accurately, “transferring” DV off the tape and onto the computer (more on that below) — is either the freeware software Scenalyzer 3.5 or the freeware WinDV. The payware Scenalyzer Live 4.0 is another excellent choice. AVI-IO and DVIO are two more often-suggested choices from past years. NOTE: If the capture card is already installed in a PCI slot, it is not necessary to remove and reinstall it. Continue with Section V. NOTE: The serial number for the DVBK 2000 is located on the capture card. This serial number will be necessary to complete the installation of the Sony DV Application software.
